And now.. for present day happenings!

I'm fast-forwarding to today.. I'll start back up with previous happenings tomorrow or the next day... But today is a day for.. well.. today!

Today is the 13th of September which means it's my anniversary with my Hubby! Yes, yes.. we got married on the 13th. It's fitting if you know us. But that was a whole 3 years ago... pshew how time flies! All in all though, we've been together for 11 years. Which is a feat in and of itself. Not for us. But in general.

So around anniversary time is when I start to look at all the old pictures of us. We have definitely changes since we were 16 years old!

This is my husband's favorite picture of us. Taken on our front porch on my 16th birthday.
I have been through so many different hair styles it's unbelievable. This was taken toward the end of high school.

This was taken around the same time as the last one... with less bangs, clearly.

This was taken before junior prom. Note the red hair. (Maybe I wasn't the only one that went through a lot of hair styles ;)  )
This was from sometime far after high school.. we went to see a friend perform...
Engagement pictures in 2008.

Wedding picture in 2008 :)
One of our favorite pictures. It kind of describes us perfectly. And I chopped off all my hair, so this is definitely after the wedding. haha
Some time after the last one was taken.... after I lost the first 25lbs and Eric lost like 60lbs.
I'll post some new pictures soon... So you all can compare and contrast. I know we definitely look soooooo much different.

Well, that was a little trip down memory lane. As for me, it's time to go relax since Eric took me out to dinner for our anniversary. We went to Guiseppe's in Northboro MA and if you haven't been, it's about time you try to make it over there. Amazing food. Amazing. Sometimes you just have to give up on your diet and eat the things you used to eat!

Soon I'll reach my goal weight and maybe I'll pull out some of these old pics and do a before and after.. That would be fun!

I'm off to go relax! Enjoy your night everyone :)

My vacation is over. Those 4 words are so sad and invoke plenty of heartfelt apologies from co-workers. I feel like no matter how long your vacation is, it is never long enough. Eric and I spent from the 2st until the 11th together on vacation. It was wonderful to say the least, even though it rained most of the week. Can't help the weather, I always say.

Moving on, away from my little pity party of no longer being on vacation..

Remember those pictures from the Grist Mill. Yes? Great! Lynne and I wound up having ourselves a photo shoot there and I think the results are amazing. Let me know what you think!

I love this one, with messy hair and a girly look with combat boots, it just makes me smile.

I think this is Lynne's favorite (and maybe one of my top 3. It's so hard to choose!!)
Remember those red doors? This was taken right next to one.. I love the contrast of the red with the stone. and the fact that she's off center makes me love it even more!

We were joking around.. I told her this could be her Country Music Album cover. She laughed since country music is the farthest thing from her taste of music.

I think this vintage-y pin up photo says a lot about her.

This one pretty much encompasses the feel of the day. I told her I wanted her to look "fluffy" and this is pretty fluffy!

Well that's kind of all I have for today. I hope you enjoyed the shoot! Feel free to let me know your favorite or if you have any ideas of what you'd like to see or if you'd like to do some modelling! I'm always open to new models! I'll post again tomorrow!

Day Three (In a row!) Once the amazement wears off, I'll stop counting...

I'm getting good at this updating thing. Although it has only been three days it feels like I'm on a roll.. Maybe soon you'll all get to hear about current events rather than stuff from June/July/August.

Any-who. On with it!

We (hubby and I) spent the 4th of July with my in-laws. As always it's a good time to get together and see one another. We go a while in between seeing each other because life sometimes gets in the way and we seem to fill every moment of free time with something, whether it be cleaning up the house or me scheduling some sort of event (photo shoot for real or photo shoots for fun) or some other random miscellaneous task. Like recently I have decided to go through the attic and find yarn that I have not designated for a project and make scarves out of the remaining skeins (Possibly for Christmas or even some sort of give-away... stay tuned). So it seems that things like that just get in the way. I'm sure that's relate-able.

Getting back to the original story (see this is what happens on a daily basis. I start something and then get completely distracted and wind up talking/writing/doing something else, then I'll find/look up the original thing I was doing etc... story of my life.)....

This is what happened on the 4th of July.

Lemon pepper marinated shrimp skewers. They were probably the best I have ever tasted. For real.

Grilled buttered corn on the cob. I have always eaten corn on the cob when it has been boiled. This grilled corn has completely ruined me for any other kind of corn. I can't even begin to tell you how good it was.

My lover-ly hubby. He's definitely used to me snapping pictures of him, thankfully. And I think he feels the same way about the corn. Best. Ever.

Well, that was our 4th of July. I would have asked you all to comment/share your cookout experiences during the 4th celebrations, but... it was like 2 months ago.. the start of summer... so I'm sure you have all had other cookouts or more memorable things happen to you. So, once I'm all updated and actually sharing real-time happenings, maybe the commenting/sharing can commence.

As for now, I bid you adieu.

Wow! Two days in a row!

This is now my opportunity to fill everyone in on July. But I promise it won't be overwhelming.

I was scouting out a location for a photo shoot with my friend Lynne (you'll see more of her soon) and we decided on the Grist Mill in Sudbury MA.

If you haven't been there, you need to go there. If you have been there, then go there again and just take a walk around and enjoy it again. It isn't all about the mill. There are paths and across the street is a chapel and the little red house where the song "Mary Had A Little Lamb" was created (I think). There are also more historic buildings around and while you're there, head on over to the Wayside Inn Country Store. I remember going there when I was little and buying little trinkets like you would do if you went far away on vacation, completely convinced you'd never find anything like it again.. Oh the joys of being little.

To be completely honest, I grew up around here and I feel like this place is somewhere that I have always been very very fond of. I love ever aspect of it, from the historical to the understated beauty, if you really look for it. Every time I visit I feel an overwhelming sense of calm come over me and then my creativity has a chance to take over. All in all, I love it there. I would do ever photo shoot there, but that may get a tad boring to see over and over again. (Although, in my mind, I have a few more shoots I would love to do there..)

The beautiful Grist Mill when you first walk down the path.

The side of the building.

There are little paths around and behind the mill.
I am in love with this tree. I love that every time i go there, it always has stumps in front of it, inviting you to stay a while.

This is the opposite direction down a different path. It leads you to water where you can sometimes see swans swimming. We saw a Blue Heron the last time we were there.
I love these types of fences. Just a slot and two narrow boards of wood. Simple beauty.
The door latch that looks like a face with it's tongue sticking out.

I'll be back soon to post more adventures and photo shoots, but for now, enjoy today as if tomorrow will never come.

Blogger app

I just found a blogger app for my phone!! Hooray!

Awful. At. This.

So I recently decided to try to become dedicated to this blogging thing.. Although I do wish there was an app to help me with this..... Maybe I'll check for one later... But, 'later' seems to be the story of my life lately.

Anyway, I at least know that I have dedication. I have been going to the gym religiously since June 26th (2011) so I know I've got it in me to be dedicated to something.... But this blog seems to be the one thing I can't keep updating. Maybe it's the photos... I want to add them to the blog, but editing them and cropping and sizing takes so much work and I feel like I don't have the time to do it, but I really want to try.

So hang in there people, I'll be back.. and maybe, just maybe I'll change the look of things.. and start sharing things I encounter in life.

Here are a few photos I took in June...

My Hubby bought me some flowers a while back and I was playing with my camera and a spritzer... I always have such a good time snapping away!

We went to Maine in June.. (I am totally going to try to update more haha) and I snapped this pic of my in-law's pup, after a long day of swimming. The weather was perfect! The massive amount of bugs is the only thing I wish I could have changed!
This is the sunset on our last night at the camp in Maine. We had such a good time! I really can't wait to get back.

I liked the way the logs looked on the fire. It was really chilly that night, but amazingly, you start to overheat if you stand too close.. I wish we had made some s'mores!

So, that was a little peek into our June (mini) vacation to Maine. I'll post more from July/August/September soon!

Again, it has been far too long....

It has definitely been faaar too long since I've posted on here. A lot has been going on.

I recently got hired at a new company. Which is pretty amazing, but had altered my schedule, and trying to get back on track has been difficult.

I also have had some pretty amazing photography opportunities. First, Joe and April's wedding on June 4th. Weekend after weekend of rain, these two had the perfect day for a wedding and the location was that of an exotic island (although it was in Maine)

Those two are a perfect match and were more than willing to smile as often as I needed them to to get the beautiful shots I got of them. After the ceremony we walked along Marginal way and headed to one of the outlook points. Joe and April were such good sports with everything, and were patient as I tried to get every angle and pose as I could possibly get!

I think it was well worth it! They also climbed out on the rocks to get some gorgeous shots with the blue-er than blue ocean in the background.

I had such a great day with them and their families! And the weather could not have been better!

I also had the opportunity to head in to Boston for the Bruins Stanley Cup parade. It is definitely a difficult thing to get amazing pictures when you are in the crowd, rather than outside of the crowd taking pictures. There were people EVERYWHERE with hands flying up obscuring my view and tall people in front of me trying to get their voices heard as the parade marched (drove) by (on duckboats)

I got this great shot of the hat on the person in front of me. I love that the policemen in the background are blurry, but you can still tell that they are police.

I has such a great time regardless of the crowd! And all in all, it was pretty tame, no fights, no riots, everyone was there for the same reason, to celebrate the Bruins winning the cup and bringing it home.

I have a few more things in the works that I cannot wait to share soon! Hopefully I'll be better in posting on here with things as they happen, not weeks after the fact!

Keep checking back, hopefully I'm on the right track!
